Essential Responsibilities: Determines amount of future business and workload requirements from information gathered from sales department.
Requisitions and instructs on work expectations for banquet.
Meets with function group leaders to determine last minute changes and discuss various set-up arrangements.
Ensures proper service to clients during the banquet.
Ensures proper cleaning of all equipment after function is completed.
Supervises assigned banquet team members: training and development.
May assist personnel in setting up a function room to the desired specifications set forth by the sales office.
Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
Actively participates in service.
Inventories all equipment.
Displays awareness and compliance with security, safety, emergency and energy procedures.
Assists in maximizing revenues and profits.

Skills & Abilities: Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel.
) Pleasant, polite manager who maintains a neat and clean appearance.
Ability to motivate team members to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards.
Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.
Strong leadership, management, organizational and communication skills.
The ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to deliver results.
The ability to work well with, as well as motivate, a variety of personality types and maintain tact and diplomacy throughout all interactions.
The ability to multitask and prioritize.
Hours: Due to the nature of the business, scheduling may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Education & Experience: High school diploma/GED.
2 years’ experience in a supervisory leadership role.
1-year hospitality or banquet experience preferred.
Physical Requirements of the Position: Medium work.
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
May be required to lift in excess of 40 pounds on occasion.
Physical Activity of the Position: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking/pinching with fingers, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.
Environmental Conditions: Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
