PC/Network Technician

The PC Network Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the bank’s computer systems and network infrastructure.
Your responsibilities will revolve around providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining the network to guarantee uninterrupted banking operations.
You will collaborate with the IT team to deliver efficient solutions and uphold the bank’s security and compliance standards.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB*: *Technical Support:* Offer first-line technical support to bank staff and customers by responding to IT-related queries, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving technical problems promptly and effectively.
*PC Maintenance:* Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, severs, and peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.
) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Regularly update software and security patches on these devices.
*Network Infrastructure:* Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the bank’s local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
Troubleshoot network issues, such as connectivity problems, network outages and firewall configurations.
*Security and Compliance:* Implement and adhere to security protocols to safeguard the bank’s data and IT infrastructure.
Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and prevent potential security breaches or unauthorized access.
*Hardware Inventory:* Keep track of hardware assets and maintain an up-to-date inventory of PCs, laptops, network equipment and other devices.
Coordinate hardware replacements or upgrades when necessary.
*Software Management:* Assist in software deployment, updates and license management.
Ensure all software is correctly licensed and compliant with regulatory requirements.
*Data Backup and Recovery:* Implement and maintain data backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
Develop recovery plans and procedures to mitigate potential data loss.
*Documentation:* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, hardware setups, troubleshooting procedures and IT-related processes.
*User Training:* Provide training and technical orientation to bank employees on the proper use of hardware, software and network resources.
