57 Job Summary The Lead Slot Technician directly Leads the Slot Technician team members.
Ensures all gaming machines, casino signs, and all other gaming equipment are in good working order at all times.
Maintains a sufficient parts inventory to ensure timely repairs of slot equipment.
Maintains the Slot System at floor level.
Is responsible for ensuring that all slot machines are reporting correctly to the slot accounting system.
Coordinates and monitors repair and all conversions, removals and installation of vendor gaming machines.
The Lead Slot Technician tests function of electronic assemblies, components, and parts according to established procedures.
Responsible for monitoring the preventive maintenance, repairs and maintenance, and troubleshooting of all slot machines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities > Develops and maintains slot and gaming machine repair and preventative maintenance schedule.
> Ensures all gaming machines and casino signs are in good working order at all times.
> Assists Director of Slot Operations in determining types, location, denomination and number of slot machines on the floor.
> Coordinates and monitors to completion all conversions, installs and removals of owned and vendor gaming machines.
> Ensures all regulatory requirements federal, tribal and state related to gaming machine operation are complied.
> Maintains information and repair schedule paperwork file for each gaming machine on the floor.
> Repairs malfunctioning slot machines and equipment.
> Operates electronic test equipment as required to facilitate repairs.
> Uses small tools to effect installation and repair of slot machines and other equipment.
> Prepares records and reports describing types of repair work and preventative maintenance performed.
> Replaces defective components or repairs defective wiring testing.
> Cleans slot areas as required.
> Adheres to all regulatory, departmental and casino policies and procedures and the casino MICS.
> Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of the Kiowa Casino and of the Slot Operations department.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA) KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: > At least 21 years of age > High school diploma or GED required > 5 years previous slot technician experience or Electronic technology background -OR- > Certificate of completion from a Slot Technical program SKILLS REQUIRED: > Strong computer skills with experience in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets (ability to demonstrate proficiency) > Strong project management skills > Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities > Strong organizational skills > Strong written communication skills > Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills > Guest service, interpersonal and teamwork skills necessary to maintain quality service delivery > Accurate and detail-oriented > Strong problem solving skills ABILITIES REQUIRED: > Ability to display leadership qualities and the ability to serve both internal and external Guests.
> Must be able to manage departmental budget and control labor and expenses.
> Ability to maintain a professional demeanor > Ability to maintain high confidentiality > Ability to independently manage multiple tasks in a professional manner > Ability to work independently with minimal supervision > Ability to work cooperatively with all departments > Ability to manage extensive amounts of paperwork > Ability to operate most office equipment (computer, fax, copier, etc) > Ability to independently lift up to 50 pounds routinely Physical Demands / Work Environment PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this position, the team member is required to walk and/or stand for long periods of time.
Walking will require a fast pace at times.
The team member will be required to bend, stoop, and kneel occasionally.
The team member must also be able to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
WORKING ENVIRONMEN: Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke.
Extensive computer use.
Must be flexible with work schedule.
Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs.
Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals.
High volume direct public contact.
